NetWrix Desktop Password Reset will allow you to securely manage your local computer passwordsand resolve account lockouts in a self-service fashion without gaining privileged access to computers.

Desktop Password Reset provides secure password management for computers in disconnected and non-domain environments, for example, laptops which are not a members of domain.

Most organizations typically restrict administrative access to their computers and users don't know local Administrator password for security reasons. When local account becomes locked, only computer administrator can login and resolve the issue.

But when users travel, visit customers or do other out of office activities with their laptops, nobody can help them except for giving privileged access to system (e.g. saying local admin password by phone). With Desktop Password Reset, users can securely resolve password issues on their computers without any help from system administrator or IT helpdesk.

The product uses "question and answer" security system for user authentication. All users establish their profiles upon first logon and once profile is established, they can manage passwords and unlock accounts manually by supplying the answers from profile. Deployment process is very simple and easy to automate - only single MSI file without any parameters to install into each managed computer.
